Wine tasting in Jeruzalem

It's no wonder the Prleki people are considered the happiest people in Slovenia! They live in one of the prettiest places in the world- the Jeruzalem Wine Road set within the rolling Ljutomer-Ormož hills. The northeast region's scenic landscape is an abundant with colourful flowers, rich greenery, and quaint village life, with people so friendly and hospitable it's hard to ever leave!

The name derives from the legendary story of crusaders stopping over here on their journey east, who found the local people most welcoming, offering delicious food and wine to them. This still holds true today, as the people are still considered the most kindly of Slovenia and the wine marks some of the most exquisite in the country.

The tour will begin with a visit to the oldest Slovenian town of Ptuj with its rich cultural heritage and various protected monuments. There will also be a visit to the town's wine cellar, where guests can participate in wine-tasting and a visit to the extensive underground wine galleries.

The tour will continue on the Jeruzalem Wine Road, where participants will pay a visit to a local wine cellar and have the opportunity to try some of the most delicious wines in Slovenia and engage with the famously hospitable locals.
