World of Kamnik - Savinja Alps

This tour of the Savinja Alps follows along the Kamniska Bistrica river canyon through green pastures and small villages of the alpine region. Participants will have the opportunity to see country home of Tito designed by the famous architect of Joze Plecnik.

The trek starts in Stahovica and participants will have the opportunity to observe the ravine of Kamniška Bistrica before taking a gondola up to Velika Planina. Here participants can see the traditional huts of the cow shepherds.  The tour will stop for a night to stay in a Domzale mountain hut.

The trek continues the next day to Konj, where travellers can see an excellent panorama of the countryside from the top. From there, the trek heads toward the bottom of Lučki Dedec where participants will stay the night in a mountain hut.

On the last day, the trek carries on to from the Kocbek mountain hut to the peak of Ojstrica, the lowest mountain of the Grintovci. From here, the tour heads back to Podvezak, where the tour will finish.   

If a booking is cancelled up to 48 hours before the tour date, no fee will be charged. Otherwise, guests are charged for the entire trip. The same applies to no-shows.
